The HEAD Foundation proudly supported the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia 2017 in its fourth year. SVCA is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises, open to any member of the public. Organised by NUS Enterprise and DBS Foundation, the Challenge aims to identify and support innovative new ideas and existing social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact.
The Foundation sponsored a cash prize of S$20,000 awarded to the social enterprise with the best use of technology and innovation for education. During the award ceremony on 4 October 2017, The HEAD Foundation Innovative Social Enterprise Award (Education) was presented to Vietnam-based Imagtor.
Imagtor is a social enterprise that helps people with disabilities to regain confidence and to have a successful career by equipping them with employable skills and providing them with work opportunities. Upon completion of training, the majority of Imagtor’s students are offered jobs, in which they provide quality digital services such as video and photo editing to a global client base.
