Making HEADway
Our practitioner-focused webinar and handbook series brings together strategies and actionable tips by leading academics and educators on how to cope with the evolving education landscape, and better manage their schools, staff and students during uncertain times.
The COVID-19 pandemic made clear the urgent need for customised and contextualised capacity building opportunities for educators in the region. The sector was evolving rapidly, and educators, particularly in less-resourced parts of Southeast Asia, craved quality training opportunities. The shutdown of air travel meant that The HEAD Foundation’s traditional model of personalised face-to-face training for educators across the region was no longer viable.
Making HEADway was conceived, designed and launched by The HEAD Foundation in 2020. In each webinar series and accompanying handbook, leading academics and exemplary educators in the region share strategies and actionable tips on immediately responding to school closures, on future-proofing our schools and education systems so as to build back better.
In this first series of 2021, school leaders from Southeast Asia discussed how educators can build and maintain a positive school culture in challenging circumstances.
