The HEAD Foundation supported, and participated in the 6th Global Higher Education Forum 2018 (GHEF 6.0) held from 8 to 10 October 2018 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The three-day event was organised by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to serve as a platform for multi-stakeholders (such as academics, students, government agencies, policymakers, NGO and industries) to discuss issues confronting the higher education ecosystem and to promote discourse for solutions. It was an avenue to consider concepts, experiences, practices and research findings on diverse issues in Higher Education from various countries, contexts and perspectives.

On Day 2 of the Forum, research sponsored by The HEAD Foundation was the centre of discussion during the symposium on “Institutional Policies & Initiatives for the Internationalisation on of Higher Education in ASEAN”. The symposium was chaired by Mr Vignesh Naidu, Director, Operations at The HEAD Foundation. (Read more on the research led by Dr Hazri Jamil, Director of IPPTN, in HESB Issue #4).
On the third day, Mr Lim Yu-Book, Board Member at The HEAD Foundation, participated in the panel discussion on the “Fourth Industrial Revolution and Knowledge Economy”.

Prof S. Gopinathan, Academic Advisor to The HEAD Foundation, also joined the panel discussion on “Global Policy Governance in Higher Education Ecosystem” on the same day.
